How the license works #
Your key is activated for one domain. Once a day NOB contacts the license server and sends only the key, the domain, an installation fingerprint, the version and an integrity summary. The server answers with a signed token that NOB verifies offline with a public key shipped in the package, so day-to-day use does not depend on the server being reachable.

Important NOB never deletes or locks your data. Read-only mode is the strongest measure there is, and your exports keep working.
Updates #
NOB checks the channel nightly. When a version is published within your update period it is downloaded (signed and hash-checked), a backup is made, the new code is deployed in a new folder, migrations run, the health check runs, and only then the new version takes over. If anything fails, the previous version is restored automatically. You can also update by hand from the screen, or download the package from your portal and upload it by FTP if your host blocks the automatic route.
Versions published after your update period ends are listed but not installable until you renew (60 % of the license price, from your portal). NOB keeps working in the installed version regardless.
Integrity #
Each package carries a signed manifest of its core files. NOB checks it nightly and reports "ok" or "modified files" to the license server. Modifying the code is allowed for your own needs, but modified installations lose support and may not update cleanly.
Moving to another domain #
In the current installation press Release this domain (or do it from your portal), install NOB at the new domain and activate the same key there. A license covers one active domain at a time (more with an additional domain or an agency license).
Your portal #
The private link in your purchase e-mail (or request it again with your purchase e-mail on the website) shows your key, plan, domains, downloads, invoices, and lets you renew updates, buy extended support, add a domain, order installation or subscribe to managed Savia.
