Roots: obligations, filings and deadlines
Roots is your calendar of taxes, ZUS and formalities. NOB generates it from your profile and the rules, and keeps it current: monthly items appear each month, quarterly each quarter, annual once a year, continuous duties stay listed.
The list #
Now shows what is overdue, what needs confirmation and what is due within days; Later shows the rest. Each obligation has its Polish name next to the translation, the period, the deadline ("due in 9 days" / "overdue by 3 days"), and the state:
| State | Meaning |
|---|---|
| pending | to do before the deadline |
| verify | NOB thinks it may already be done (for example a registration); confirm yes or no |
| done | marked as filed or paid |
| overdue | deadline passed without being marked done |
| not applicable | you told NOB it does not apply |
Business days follow the Polish calendar; deadlines that fall on a weekend or holiday move to the next business day, as the tax ordinance requires.
Generate #
The Generate button opens the preparer for that obligation. Every preparer follows the same pattern: it gathers the data from your ledgers, tells you what is missing ("1 document of August not approved — resolve →") with a readiness percentage, asks only what it cannot know, and produces the result.
| Obligation | What NOB produces |
|---|---|
| JPK_V7M / JPK_V7K | the complete XML (declaration part P_10…P_62 and the sales/purchase records with control sums) ready to sign and send through the Ministry's gateway; the amount to pay |
| VAT-9M | the tax on imported services for exempt companies, with the article and the amount |
| CIT / PIT advances | the base, rate and advance for the period from the books, with what is already paid |
| Lump-sum tax (ryczałt) | the tax per rate from the revenue register |
| ZUS DRA/RCA | contribution bases and amounts for the company or the sole trader, by type |
| PCC-3 | the tax on the share capital or a loan, with the form fields |
| Guides (CRBR, NIP-8, VAT-R, KSeF access, financial statements) | a step-by-step guide with your data prefilled, links to the official portals, and what to bring |
| Monthly internal close | the checklist: documents approved, bank explained, sales invoiced, no red findings |
Payments show your tax micro-account (mikrorachunek podatkowy, derived from your NIP) with the amount and a transfer QR for your banking app.
Marking as filed #
After you file on the official portal, press Mark → Done and paste the UPO receipt number if you have it; or Not applicable with a reason, or Not done to keep it pending. NOB records who and when.
Why does this apply to me? #
Each obligation carries What is it and why does it apply to me? with the plain explanation, the rule code and its legal source (act and article). If your profile changes, NOB regenerates the calendar; obligations that no longer apply are marked so.
When the law changes #
Every week NOB downloads the consolidated text of the 12 acts it relies on. If an article cited by one of your rules changed, a yellow finding appears: "Review rule X: article Y changed", with Savia's reading of whether and how the rule may need to change. You decide.
