Welcome and how to read these manuals

NOB (Naturalna Organizacja Biznesu) is an accounting, invoicing and tax-compliance system for micro and small companies in Poland. It installs on your own hosting, speaks six languages, and is built for one person who has little time and no professional accounting knowledge: simple up front, powerful behind.

Note These manuals are written in English only, on purpose. One precise reference text avoids the drift and ambiguity that translations introduce, and English is the language most readers share. The product itself works in Polish, Spanish, English, Ukrainian, German and Russian; whenever a manual names a screen, the name in your language will be similar (see the table below).

What NOB does, in one paragraph #

Every morning NOB tells you what needs your attention. You sell with quotes the client signs online, you issue Polish e-invoices (KSeF FA(3)) in one click, you import your bank statement and answer "what is this?" for whatever NOB could not match on its own, and you generate your tax and ZUS filings when they are due. Behind that sits a full double-entry ledger (or KPiR for sole traders), 117 versioned Polish tax rules, the consolidated text of 12 Polish acts, a nightly auditor, and Savia, an AI assistant that explains, drafts and looks things up but never invents a number.

Official Polish terms (NIP, JPK_V7M, VAT czynny, ZUS DRA…) are always shown next to the translation inside the product so you recognise them on official forms. The glossary explains each one.

How the manuals are organised #

  • Getting started — buying, installing, the first login and the onboarding questionnaire.
  • Daily work — one chapter per screen: Today, Sowing, Harvest, Roots, and Savia.
  • Behind the scenes — the engine room (auditor, ledgers, partners, rules), settings, license and updates, security and data.
  • Reference — command line, troubleshooting, glossary, questions and support.

Use the search box on the left; it searches every chapter and section. Each section heading is a link you can copy and send to someone.

Conventions #

  • Buttons and menu entries are written in bold: Generate, Approve.
  • Paths inside the product are written like Engine room → Settings.
  • Polish official names are given in italics the first time: biała lista, mikrorachunek podatkowy.
  • A callout marked Warning describes something with legal or financial consequences.

Scope of the current version #

NOB 0.9 covers well: limited liability companies (sp. z o.o.) and sole traders (JDG) in services and small trade, without employees (B2B contractors are fine), VAT-exempt or a simple active-VAT registration, with clients in Poland, the EU or outside it. Not yet covered: payroll and employment contracts, production inventory, special VAT schemes (OSS, margin), customs and excise, foundations and complex partnerships. Where a feature is not yet available, the product says so ("coming soon") rather than hiding it.

Important NOB is software, not a tax adviser. It applies the rules it knows and tells you where it is unsure ("human validation"). Decisions with relevant tax consequences deserve a professional's confirmation; NOB tells you when that is the case.
