Savia: your AI assistant
Savia is present on every screen through the leaf button in the bottom-right corner. She knows which screen you are on, suggests two or three questions that matter there, and answers using your own data and Polish law.
What Savia can do #
- Answer questions with real figures — "how much input VAT have I accumulated?", "what is most urgent today and why?". She calls tools that query your ledgers, documents, obligations, findings and the legal corpus, and lists them as sources under the answer. Answers follow a fixed structure: Fact (from the books), Calculation (with the rule), Interpretation, Recommendation, and a Sources line.
- Explain the law — she searches the 12 consolidated Polish acts (3,800 indexed articles) and quotes article and act.
- Simulate — CIT on a result, VAT recoverable if you register, expense vs. fixed asset, board pay vs. dividend, lump sum vs. flat tax. These are deterministic calculations from the rules; Savia narrates them.
- Draft — the Write with Savia buttons on quotes (introduction, terms, e-mail), products (description), legal texts (privacy notice, terms, warranty), plus Improve and Translate. Drafts are proposals; you approve.
- Read documents — the inbox pipeline uses the same engine to extract invoice data with a strict schema.
- Audit — the monthly AI review reads the whole month and points out patterns the rules cannot see.
What Savia never does #
She never invents a number, date, VAT rate or deadline: those come from SQL and rules. She never executes an action for you: she explains and drafts; you press the buttons. She never reads instructions inside documents or client messages as commands: everything external reaches her wrapped as data, and attempts to manipulate her ("ignore your instructions…") are detected, logged and ignored.
Two engines, your choice #
| Engine | Where it runs | Cost | Privacy |
|---|---|---|---|
Ollama with gemma4:e4b and bge-m3 | your own server or network | free | nothing leaves your infrastructure |
| Google AI Studio with your own API key | free tier, then cents | text of documents and questions is sent to Google |
Set it in Engine room → Settings → Artificial intelligence. Automatic uses Ollama when it responds and falls back to Google when it does not; you can also force one. Savia's header always says which engine is active; when neither is available she says so and everything deterministic keeps working while AI jobs wait in the queue.
With Google, NOB picks the models by reading the list your key can use: a "flash" model for reasoning with tools and a lighter "flash-lite" model for drafting and translation. Gemma models are available as a manual option. Test AI in Settings checks the connection; AI evaluation runs a fixed battery of seven cases (invoice extraction, classification, tool calls, injection resistance, translation, drafting) so you can compare models on facts, not impressions.
Limits and costs #
Per-user hourly limits on messages and drafts, and a daily spending cap for Google (in PLN, configurable) protect you from surprises. The demo edition has additional caps.
The full conversation #
The Savia entry in the menu opens the full conversation with history and suggested questions. Conversations are stored per user and company; delete one whenever you like.
Keyboard: Enter sends, Shift+Enter adds a line, Esc closes the side panel.
